We engage every customer in a dialogue to establish a customized consulting support plan that fits your needs and budget.

The complete range of consulting services includes:

  • Training: Attend training classes, or bring the classes to your site.

We find that Professional Services needs fall into five areas, consistent with your evaluation, implementation and management of LegaSuite products and projects:

Proof of Concept

A proof of concept is typically a 1-2 week offering which validates, prior to product purchase, that LegaSuite will work in your unique environment.

Discovery

Discovery is usually a 2-6 week engagement that reviews your project infrastructure and needs, develops a customized architecture, and produces a high level project plan. For integration projects, it identifies the required services. For process automation projects, it identifies the workflows. For GUI projects, it establishes UI design and workflow redesign specifications.

Pilot

A pilot validates the results of a discovery engagement with either (a) a part of the defined project or (b) a limited number of users. The pilot engagement also provides your internal staff with training and skills transfer. The length of the pilot engagement depends on the scope and the level of Rocket Seagull Professional Services involvement you choose. Choices range from fully-outsourced projects to project embedding to training/mentoring.

Full Implementation

Full Implementation is customized and engagement length depends on the role you wish our Professional Services consultants to play. Choices range from fully-outsourced projects to project embedding to training/mentoring.

Tuning and Maintenance

Periodically, you may want our consulting experts to evaluate your configuration settings and assist with solution maintenance to be sure you are applying best practices. Generally Tuning and Maintenance engagements range from 2 to 5 days, and are recommended twice per year.

We utilize our LegaSuite Transformation Methodology (LTM) to ensure project success. LTM is a proven legacy integration methodology that incorporates best practices developed during 20 years of helping thousands of customers to unleash additional value trapped in mainframe, midrange, and Windows applications.

LTM provides step-by-step processes, supporting tools, case studies, and an online project information repository. Project roles are defined, as are standard deliverables for each project phase. LTM also includes a formal communication plan, which is supported by regularly defined project checkpoints.
